Unisa Courses - National Diploma (Agricultural Management) (NDAGR)

Description

Government has earmarked agricultural skills development as a national education priority because of the critical shortage of high-level specialists in the public sector and private farming enterprises. There is an especially great need for experts able to use environmentally-friendly methods to promote viable, profitable and sustainable food production. Developing these skills is the purpose of this diploma, which covers agricultural management, plant and animal production, soil and pasture science, production techniques, agricultural law and computer technologies used in agriculture. It ensures that students gain hands-on experience by doing experiential learning at an accredited farming enterprise during their studies. Students are also expected to attend at least two compulsory practical courses in the form of one beginner’s session and one advanced session.
