Description

Rising awareness of the impact of human development on the environment has broadened the scope of career opportunities in nature conservation. Many new career doors have opened, not just in traditional areas like national parks and conservation areas but also in environmental education, conservation research and eco-tourism. This programme offers a broad platform for a career in any of these areas and has been designed in consultation with the conservation industry. It combines theory with practical training in the form of compulsory practical sessions, as well as hands-on workplace exposure (called experiential learning) in the nature conservation environment.

Admission Requirements

NSC with three 20 credit subject passed at level 3 and Agricultural Science or Geog or Life Sci or Physical Science 3. OR Senior Certificate with Agricultural Science or Biology or Geog or Physical Science (Mathematics strongly recommended)
